The scarab is one of the oldest Egyptian symbols and has always held a prominent place in Egyptian religion.
Egyptian warriors wore a scarab as a talisman to give them strength in battle.
Women wore it to give them fertility.
It symbolized the god Khepri, the god of the rising sun, the renewer of the sun or the one who moved the sun. Sometimes it symbolized Ra, the sun god.
It symbolizes the resurrection and rebirth, the future eternal life of the glorious dead and was believed to bring good luck. They made amulets and jewellery in his image.
There is a correlation between the scarab that carries the sun every day and the myth of Sisyphus.
Wrapped with copper.
