Jade is green-grey in colour and opaque.
Jadeite is brighter green in colour and shows some degree of transparency.
They are different forms of the same mineral and thus share the same properties. There is also a variety of yellow Jade, which in addition to the above properties, also enhances intuition.

You can program a crystal, which means asking its help with something specific of all that it can offer you. However, this is not mandatory. The crystal will help you anyway where the universe deems you need reinforcement or assistance. Basic condition of course is that you value it and believe in its power.
